Battle Post - Bronze Alash (2015/08/04)

OMG.
OMG.
OMFG.

I got Alash from bronze refresh.
I win the game. GG.

Actually not. Alash is definitely the strongest tank against physical damge in the current version. But if new hero is released (whose attack cannt be dodged), he will no longer be as effective as now.

4 4* heroes obtained in this week. Luck week!

  1. That's amazing, I got Phil the same way! On another note though, i'm curious how dodge works. Like for example if you have 70 dodge does that mean there's a 70% chance to miss and a 30% chance to hit? If so would that make a hero with 100 dodge invincible to any standard attacks?

    1. I heard that a 70% dodge is like physical damage reduction of 70% instead of 70% chance to ignore the damage.
And max dodge for now should be around 70-80% only UNLESS you have Alash with skill lv 12. Minions will have higher dodge rate than alash himself LOL

    2. That's pretty interesting.. works a lot different than I expected..
Currently my Alash has 70 dodge, 20 from a weapon, 10 from boots, and 5 from a helmet. Heard there were dodge necklaces, but i'm not sure, maybe just a rumor.

    3. Wait.. I just realized... 70% damage reduction. imagine 1000 dmg - 70% equals 300 dmg... if you have 300+ defence then that means 0 dmg??? lol wut..?

    4. Hm...if i remember 2.5 defense would reduce 1 physical damage. So you will still need 750 def to reach the min damage. I tried and each attack will damage at least 10hp.

    5. I will test the effect of dodge later

    6. By the way can a hero dodge bullets? I mean muskets and mage attacks? Or that works only for melee attacks?

    7. i looked around a lot and it seems that dodge is a straight damage reduction meaning 10 dodge is 10% less damage.

      Dodge > Defence

    8. Dodge applies to normal attacks (melee or magic or bullets) but not against skill damage.

If dodge is a straight reduction, it is kind of OP

    9. If I remember right, Achilles's skill will be antidodge - smth like if his hit was dodged, the next hit can't be dodged and it would be critical. This doesn't fit your damage reduction theory.

I personally think mages/muskets hits and Giant's AOE hits must not be able to be dodged because it looks unrealistically. I don't know how it's now. Besides they are going to implement AOE squads in 1.8.5 and italso can affect the balance.

    10. Hm...you have ur point on dodge, mark.

And AoE squad in 1.8.5 for real?

    11. Haven't you noticed that one of the updated version of musketeer unit has a bomb to throw?

    12. I see...if minions become AoE dmg, that might be too OP and Giant will be pretty much useless.

Meanwhile, i am looking forward to the improvement to infantry. Generally, heroes with infantry are strong (e.g. Summer and Reinhard as OP tanks, Octavius as crazy minion DPS, William with highest proc rate AoE etc). Any improvements to infantry will surely make them becoming even more outstanding (and very likely out of balance)

    13. Btw, i did a test on dodge. It seems that it is a chance to ignore damage other than reduction.

I think the info on forum is to tell us that the expected value of 70% dodging, which is exactly 70% reduction. Expected value is a probability only.
