MnD - Deep thinking about the game (2015/01/25)

I have been thinking about the value of the game. Why am I addicted to the game for almost half an year? (Don't get it wrong. I am still enjoying the strategic choice we can make in the game =) )

First, the scale of the battle is massive. Almost over 900 units fighting in the battlefield at the same time, each with their own HP, defence and target to attack. In terms of coding involved, it should be rather massive.

Second, there are many combinations of rallies. Heroes skills are uniquely designed (among 4 stars). It is quite fun to think about a better rally when new heroes are released.

Thirdly, it is a PvP game. Competition is always an element that spices things up.

But, what is missing in the game?

One, there are not much interactions to players during the fight. Morale skills, which are limited, are the only thing we can do.  Surely that limits the fun (it is like watching a TV show during a battle).

Two, it is quite hard to try new things out. Leveling up heroes are quite hard in the game. And that demotivates me to try them out. While some heroes are OP (Reinhard, Polymage), they become a must-use once u have it. Not much thinking involved...(who arent using 5+1 in v1.8.5?)

Three...the most important part.  The game is very repeatative. It really needs some randomness (like environment hazards) so to get players attention without violating the game's principe: limited players' intervention to the battle
