Best Hero Series - Ponsonby (2015/09/21)

Best Hero Series #8 Ponsonby
Unit: Savage Archer
Hero skill: Forceful Shoot, 50% chance to increase the damage of him and his minions for 16% for the entire battle at skill lv10. This bonus is stackable.

Who is Ponsonby? He is a 3* hero and one of the 4 Barbarian squads in the game (others are Cannon, Hedvig and Roderick). He relies heavily on his minions thanks for his skill, which seems very potent. However, his skill is not good due to the long cooldown on his skill (8s). Also savage archers have very poor HP, damage and defense (0 defense growth in early levels). Even tho savage archers can attack in melee fights, they won't survive long for Ponsonby to cast his skill.

Defense: 1
DPS: 1 (thanks for his poor minions)
Skill: 4 (only if he doesn't have poor minions...)
Unit class: 1 (totally garbage)
Overall: 2

Recommended Position(s)
2nd column, as Savage Archers do not have range as long as archers (Any places not in your rally)

Recommended Build
Minion critical damage
Minion damage increase
Don't give him anything as you won't use him anyway

Best Partners
Any heroes with minion buffs / heals, such as:
  • Joan
  • Saladin
  • Sarah
  • Manto

Nemesis
AoE casters, the poor minions will die in one cast as they are super squishy
Cavalries, who will melt the minions and Ponsonby will be useless

Triniti, please rework Savage Archer. I tried so hard to find a way to use them but they are totally useless in any sense...Ponsonby's skill is very strong...

    Is this hero really is good? How rally is the best? I hesitate between him and robinhood. Which one to choose? Hedvig seems to me to be weak, perhaps I can not set it well. Joan same ..

      nah, he is very bad in my opinion =[ Don't hesitate to use robinhood.

      It depends on your level. If you are above PL80, you can consider Robinhood. Before that, i would prefer Hedvig (Hedvig is quite strong from her stat but not the best arbalist. I prefer Alash or Kelly)
