Beginner Guide - Basics of strong rally (2015/09/12)

Quite many Mini Warriors players are interested in guides for PL 30-50. So here you are =]

There are 3 simple elements to make a good rally and I rank them in this order:
  1. Rally formation
  2. Hero (including gears, skill levels, hero levels)
  3. Minion
Rally formation
Rally is the main element about this game, the only thing that you have absolute control on (you cannot control what hero to get in tavern draws, and minions types cannot be changed). And most importantly, you can fine-tune your rally to counter your opponent before fighting, giving you a huge edge over him / her.

Hero
Hero is the 2nd element at your level. There are few classes of heroes in my opinion:

  1. Tank, they are to absorb damage for other heroes to output
  2. Range DPS, they stand behind tanks to output (physical damage)
  3. Melee DPS, they are tanks as well as DPS (physical damage), generally weaker than Range DPS and Tanks
  4. Caster, they mainly rely on hero skills to output
  5. Healer, they heal important heroes in rally
  6. Support, they have huge utility (like stuns, buffs, debuffs)
  7. Charger, cavalries that bypass tanks to attack weaker targets

Ensure you rally has some heroes from each classes so it is balanced without a key weakness to counter. If you don't have good 4*, you can use 3* with hero skills lv 4-5 (or higher for some 3*) as a temporary alternative. Here are some 3* heroes that are worth and can be used for quite a while:

  1. 3* archer: Excellent hero for poor minions. Use 2 to 3 of them in rally with max skill level
  2. 3* musketeer: Excellent minions and great hero skills. Use 1 to 2 of them eith max skill level
  3. 3* polymage: Polymorph is a very powerful utility. Use 1 to 2 with max hero skill
  4. 3* Spartan (Optional): Use 2 of them with skill level 4 to 5. Replace them as soon as you get Leonidas, Ignatius or Achilles
  5. 3* Paviser (Skill damage reduction): User 2 of them with skill level 4 to 5. Replace them as soon as you get stronger tanks
At your level you should 100% focus on level up the hero skills for strong 4* heroes and some useful 3* like archers and musketeers. Other things, including PvP, are not priorities. But who to train if you don't have strong 4*?

Minions
For minions, it is a mid to late-game issue as they grow stronger (even stronger than the hero in very high level). You should focus on level-up your heroes skills and allocate very few resources on minions.

I will share with you my experience in these 3 elements in the coming posts. If you want me to cover something you wanna know, leave a comment below!

  1. We newbies usually spend energies unwisely. So what is the priorities ? Plus, rally arrangements and all the stuff about morale are also important as well

    1. Scroll-farming is definitely the highest priority. Skill damage matters the most.

Very soon every hero will have max skills. That's about the time to farm minion materials and use heroes who rely on / buff minions. They do way higher damage later in game than the heroes.
