Best Hero Series - Ignatius (27/04/2015)

Ignatius, one of the strongest heroes in the previous game version. With max skill, he and his minions has 20% additional damage to everyone, ignoring defense. Being a great tank-buster, one claimed that "You haven't played version 1.7.4 if you haven't used Ignatius." Quite true.
Ignatius looks really awesome and his stat is fairly aggressive-oriented (strong attack, fair defense, low health and dodge rate)

However, only his minions enjoy the arcane damage since version 1.7.6. This is definitely a serious nerf to Ignatius (as now he has to rely on his squad more). How he should be used then?

Pikeman squad has supreme damage but super squishy. To maximize damage from them, equipment that increase squad health is crucial to Ignatius, such as the following (for low level players like me):

The Leadership and Endurance necklaces (?), increasing the health of hero and squad

Of course, maxing levels and squad numbers are as important as equipment, but can be very costly.

On positioning in battle, I usually place him in middle of first column if the middle first row of enemy is a paviser or with a lot of cavalries. He should be able to clear the enemy out quickly. But if the enemy has super strong backlines, I will put him at third column as the DPS. In this way, he won't be focus too hard and can output better.

Considering the importance of his squad, having a couple of Obsidian Halos Cavalries with heal spells from heroes or morale skills will be great.
Best friends to Ignatius, or other pikeman squads in general

In conclusion, being nerfed in this version makes Ignatius not shining as much as before. And as pikeman, he might not be the greatest to invest in compared to William, Galahad and so on. And...the fragile pikemen seem running around all the time without engaging...

Hope you like the little analysis from me. And...
May the scrolls be with you.
